Nottingham Forest will pay £3.4m for 6ft 7in player tomorrow after huge game tonight - journalist

Nottingham Forest look to be edging closer to their first summer signing with an update now emerging.

Forest are going to be active in the transfer market – which won’t come as a surprise to anyone.

The City Ground has been a hotspot for transfer activity since the Reds returned to the Premier League and this summer won’t be different.

Several players will likely arrive on Trentside, with another clutch likely to depart Trentside either permanently or on loan.

Now, it looks as though Forest are closing in on the addition of a new goalkeeper and things look set to be ramped up.

Journalist provides big update on Carlos Miguel to Nottingham Forest

Well, it would appear as though Forest are set to bolster their defensive ranks with the signing of Carlos Miguel.

The 6ft 7in Brazilian stopper has been courted by Forest and West Ham, with the Reds set to win the race to land him.

Journalist Bruno Andrade has now claimed that Forest will send the £3.4 million release clause to Corinthians tomorrow.

This will come after Miguel has played for his current club in a big game against Sao Paulo this evening.

The stopper has been with Corinthians since 2021 when he signed from Internacional and has made 24 appearances for the club.

Miguel is 25 and he would sign for Forest in a relatively cheap deal that would see him link up with Murillo once more.

The Brazilian defender has been linked with a move away from Forest but right now there has been nothing firm in the way of offers.
