WATCH: Bat Cat Beat breaks down Kentucky’s walk-off College World Series win

What a day it was in Omaha for Nick Mingione and the Bat Cats, Kentucky hitting a walk-off home run in its first-ever College World Series game to defeat NC State on Saturday and advance to the winners’ bracket.

It was a wild turn of events, the Wildcats taking a 3-1 lead until the seventh inning before the Wolfpack tied it up at 3-3 with a two-run homer, followed by a go-ahead run in the top of the ninth on a wild pitch to take a 4-3 lead. Down to Kentucky’s final three outs, Ryan Nicholson smacked a solo shot past the left field wall to tie it up at 4-4 in the bottom of the ninth before Mitch Daly made history with a walk-off homer in the 10th to win 5-4.

How did it all unfold? And what was the scene like in Omaha? Take the Bat Cat Beat’s word for it, KSR’s Daniel Hager breaking it down in episode nine of the show across the street from the Chuck.
