Basketball: Head coach Milling to leave B-League champion Hiroshima

The B-League champion Hiroshima Dragonflies on Monday announced the departure of head coach Kyle Milling, who guided the club to its first Japanese basketball title last month.

The 49-year-old American is stepping down after three seasons at the helm of the Dragonflies.

Hiroshima came back from a one-win deficit to clinch a 2-1 victory over the defending champion Ryukyu Golden Kings in the best-of-three B-League finals at Yokohama Arena.

"The staff, players and I worked hard over three years to get better every year and finish this season as champions," Milling said in a statement.

"My family and I will always remember and cherish so many special memories that were created. Hiroshima is a great place full of special people."
