Ukrainian defenders destroy all Russian drones attacking Ukraine overnight

Last night, Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated all 10 Shahed attack drones that the Russian invaders used to attack Ukraine, according to Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On the night of June 18, Russia launched these 10 Shahed-131/136 kamikaze drones from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk area in Russia.

Ukrainian air defense

In repelling the Russian air attack, the following were involved:

  • calculations of mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces, of Ukraine
  • and anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force of Ukraine.

As a result of the work of the Ukrainian air defenders, all Shaheds were shot down in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions, the general adds.

Last night, the Russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine with the use of Shahed kamikaze drones. Due to the Russian air attack, an air alert was declared in several country regions.

In particular, Russian drones were flying over Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

At night, explosions were also reported to have been heard in the Kharkiv area. In addition, late the night before, during an alert due to the threat of Russian ballistic missile attacks, an explosion was heard in Odesa, and it was reported that Ukrainian Air Defense Forces were operating in the region.
