Cole Palmer sends two-word response to what Chelsea teammate Romeo Lavia has just posted on Instagram

Cole Palmer may be away with England right now at the Euro 2024 tournament, but he’s clearly still got an eye on what’s happening back at Chelsea.

Cole Palmer has just responded to a message on social media from Blues teammate Romeo Lavia.

The duo previously played together in Manchester City’s academy, with both making the move to Stamford Bridge last summer.

While Palmer produced the most remarkable debut season in Chelsea colours, Lavia played just once and missed nearly all of it through injury.

They will now both reunite with new Blues head coach Enzo Maresca, who coached them at youth level at Man City.

Cole Palmer responds to Romeo Lavia

Lavia, 20, has just uploaded an Instagram post with pictures of himself doing some independent training with the ball at his feet.

He’s received positive responses in the comment section from the likes of Palmer.

Chelsea’s pre-season doesn’t start officially start for over a week, but it’s great to see Lavia working hard in the summer as he tries to make up for lost time after a nightmare first season.

Will both be in Chelsea’s XI next season?

Regardless of who Chelsea appointed in the manager’s dugout this summer, Palmer has surely made himself the first name on the team sheet.

Everyone will be eager to see if the 22-year-old attacking playmaker can replicate his crazy high standard in his second year. He was astonishing last season by scoring 25 goals and making 15 assists in 45 Blues matches.

As for Lavia, his route into the starting line-up looks a bit tougher.

The defensive midfielder’s first aim is to get fully fit and make himself available to play. Afterwards, he’s got to try break into the centre of the park when competing with the likes of Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo.
