No-DQ match to main event as British Kingdom Pro Wrestling returns to Thatcham, featuring TNA legend

Professional Wrestling will return to Thatcham this Saturday, with a no-disqualification grudge match set to excite and shock fans in equal measure at Kennet School Hall.

British Kingdom Pro Wrestling is a promotion based in the South of England which boasts a roster stacked with top level British talent.

The last time BKPW visited Thatcham in April, Chris Bronson defeated fan favourite Saime Sahin to win the Heavyweight Championship.

The match wasn’t without controversy though, as former TNA, Ring of Honour and New Japan Pro-Wrestling star Doug Williams interfered from his special guest timekeeper position, hitting Sahin with a steel chair to hand Bronson the title.

Williams declared that he had decided to become Bronson’s mentor, standing alongside the champion and his ally LA Taylor.

Boos rained down, leading fan favourite Sahin to request a no-disqualification match, which was granted by management.

This Saturday the pair will meet again to determine the rightful champion, where it will be ‘anything goes’ as weapons become legal and interference is likely.

Sahin said, “Let Bronson bring his entourage, let him bring Doug and LA Taylor, let him bring weapons.

“I have all the support I need in my corner, the fans who nearly blew the roof off the place last time.”

Reading born veteran Williams said, “under my mentorship, Chris is beginning to enjoy some of the finer things in life so as I’m sure you can appreciate, we’re not too thrilled to be returning to the town.

“That being said, Bronson is a professional and will get the job done. LA Taylor and I guarantee it.”

Elsewhere, former WWE NXT UK star ‘The English Lion’ Eddie Ryan will take on ‘The Italian Stallion’ Antonio De Luca in an international matchup.

Fans of fast-paced high-flying wrestling will be treated to a clash between Prince Phoenix and ‘Fire Heart’ Tristan Lee, in a matchup which promises high-risk manoeuvres.

A stacked card which offers something for everyone, the show will include everything from no-DQ matches to Lucha Libre style and more traditional wrestling too.

BKPW is based in Swindon and has been operating for over 20 years. The promotion is well known for its use of international talent such as Rey Mysterio (WWE), Kenny Omega (AEW), XPac - (2x WWE Hall of Famer), Finn Bálor (WWE), Santino Marella, Brian Kendrick (WWE) and more, along with home-grown talent.
