Compton pupils celebrate a colourful end to their week

Pupils at The Downs School enjoyed a colourful ending to their studies last week.

On Friday (June 7), pupils in Years 7 to 10 welcomed the return of their Colour Run at The Downs School.

All participants were showered with colour at stations around the field, thrown by teachers and staff.

And the 3k gauntlet saw an excellent turn out from pupils and staff racing around the colourful course.

“What a fantastic event to bring the school together,” said the school’s business manager, Rebecca Brophy.

“We were overjoyed at the turnout from our students and staff.

“We just couldn’t stop laughing all the way through the run.

“There will be many long lasting memories from this event, and we raised a good amount of money for the school at the same time.”

The school was also joined by pupils from Compton Primary School, who were running a shorter event earlier in the afternoon.
