Report: Juventus sporting director could make move for £30m Chelsea player this summer

Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli seems to be a fan of one Chelsea player, who could reportedly be made available this summer.

Chelsea are in the process of trying to strengthen their attack.

Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that the Blues are trying really hard to lure Crystal Palace’s Michal Olise to the club.

Chelsea have also been heavily linked with Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran, though they are at an impasse in negotiations for his signature, according to journalist Simon Phillips.

The arrival of either could lead to an exit or two at Stamford Bridge.

Cristiano Giuntoli could bring Chelsea star to Juventus

Duran joining Chelsea this summer could spell the end for David Datro Fofana and Armando Broja, with the latter’s future at the club already uncertain.

As for Olise potentially joining Enzo Maresca‘s side, that could push Noni Madueke out of the club.

According to Tuttosport, Madueke could leave Chelsea during this transfer window if the Blues do go on to sign a new winger.

The outlet has named Juventus as a potential destination for Madueke, as their sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has had the 22-year-old on his radar since his PSV Eindhoven days.

Chelsea signed Madueke from the Dutch side in a £30m deal last year.

Why is Cristiano Giuntoli a fan of Noni Madueke?

There is a lot to like about Madueke. The winger is still working on his end product.

Last season, he scored five goals and provided two assists in 23 top-flight appearances.

With more minutes, perhaps Madueke would have registered more goal contributions, but the above still stands.

Taking on players, though, he probably cannot get any better in that department.

As per FBref, the England U21 international has completed 3.16 take-ons per 90 minutes over the last year, putting him in the 93rd percentile among attacking midfielders and wingers.

His ability to beat defenders is one thing that is likely to appeal to Giuntoli and Juventus.
