Now fully recovered from fitness issues, Carter-Vickers will join Celtic teammate Alistair Johnston in making the journey to the United States, where they will both fight for their respective countries to try and claim the Copa America crown.

Nevertheless, even though he is away on international duty, speculation has regularly done the rounds surrounding the former, who is widely regarded as a pillar of strength under Brendan Rodgers.

It is that time of year, and rumours are always present about current Celtic players, but one theory has now been addressed, per a report.

Cameron Carter-Vickers summer transfer speculation addressed

According to Football Scotland, the notion that Premier League clubs West Ham United and Ipswich Town are keen on Carter-Vickers this summer isn’t correct despite murmurs to the contrary.

The outlet claim the Hammers have put no interest forward despite Julen Lopetegui replacing David Moyes at the London Stadium this summer; meanwhile, Ipswich Town are open to signing a defender; nevertheless, the USA international isn’t on their shortlist.

Back in January, Carter-Vickers signed a new five-and-a-half-year contract at Parkhead that will keen him in Glasgow until the summer of 2029.

Undoubtedly, his appeal as a dominant central defender that has the further carrot of homegrown status will appeal to English sides; nevertheless, it doesn’t seem likely that Celtic would entertain bids for him at this point in time.

Hopefully, he can enjoy Copa America before returning to Lennoxtown fit and firing ahead of the new season.
