The Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles takes center stage this week with 20 of the top high school quarterbacks in the country flying out West to compete alongside each other in this very prestigious annual event.
Algona (Iowa) High standout and Iowa State bound signal-caller Alex Manske has his golden ticket and is excited to participate.
“I think just being able to compete and learn with the best in the country!” Manske said of what he’s looking forward to.
“Obviously perform well but just being able to take in all the knowledge you learn from the experience and implying it to my future with my high school team and college.”
The 6-foot-2 1/2, 205-pound Manske committed to Iowa State in February over Texas A&M, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota among others.
“Just how connected the coaching staff and players are, and just the overall culture that the team has,” Manske said of what led him to Ames.
As a junior Manske threw for 2,498 yards and 29 touchdowns. The On3 Industry ranks him as the nation’s No 31 quarterback. On3 slots him a tad higher at No. 28 in the country.
The 2024 Elite 11 Finals will bring together top performers to receive advanced one-on-one quarterback instruction in a highly competitive setting. The 2024 Elite 11 Finals spans three days and will include on-field drills, competition, classroom instruction and off-field development.
The 2024 Elite 11, and 2024 Elite 11 MVP, will be named at the conclusion of the Elite 11 Finals.
