2026 4-star QB Brady Hart commits to Michigan: “It is a place that will push me and squeeze the excellence out of me”

Michigan

Indialantic (Fla.) Cocoa four-star quarterback Brady Hart has committed to Michigan.

He chose the Wolverines over the likes of Clemson, Notre Dame, Miami, Florida and others.

“Michigan is an amazing place,” Hart told On3. “It is a place that will push me and squeeze the excellence out of me. I can go there and win a national championship and prepare for the NFL.

“The people in Ann Arbor are unbelievable. The visit blew me away and it is the best place for me. I want to be challenged and pushed and I know Michigan will get the best out of me.

“Michigan is where I want to be and I am stoked about my decision. I am done with recruiting.”

Hart is the No. 92 overall prospect and No. 9 QB in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 15 player in Florida.

The 6-foot-5 gunslinger got his first look at U-M on the June 14 weekend. Head coach Sherrone Moore, offensive coordinator Kirk Campbell and Co. made a major impression on the Sunshine State product and have now landed a crucial pledge under center.

Hart is the first commitment of the 2026 cycle for Moore and Campbell — and also their first quarterback pledge since Moore took over for Jim Harbaugh after last season.

As a junior, Hart threw for 3,759 yards and 41 touchdowns en route to leading Cocoa to a Florida state championship.
