This morning, June 19, four Russian ships equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles were detected in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, according to the Ukrainian Navy.

The military clarified that the total missile salvo of this naval group in the Black Sea-Azov region could reach 24 missiles.

According to the Navy, as of 6:30 AM Wednesday, the following were observed:

  • In the Black Sea: 2 Russian ships, one of which is equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to 4 missiles.
  • In the Sea of Azov: 8 enemy ships, 2 of which are equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to 16 missiles.
  • In the Mediterranean Sea: 1 Russian ship, equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to 8 missiles.

Additionally, the military reported that over the past day, in the interests of the aggressor country Russia, the following transits were made through the Kerch Strait:

  • To the Black Sea: 7 vessels, 5 of which continued towards the Bosphorus Strait.
  • To the Sea of Azov: 5 vessels, 2 of which were coming from the Bosphorus Strait.

"Russia continues to violate the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) of 1974 by disabling Automatic Identification Systems (AIS)," the military added.

Earlier, Ukrainian Navy spokesperson Dmytro Pletenchuk told RBC-Ukraine that one-third of the Russian Black Sea Fleet's ships have already been rendered inoperative—either destroyed or damaged.

Moreover, a Navy representative mentioned that the occupiers are installing multi-layered boom barriers in the Black Sea, but Ukrainian naval drones continue to strike the invaders' ships.

Additionally, Pletenchuk explained to RBC-Ukraine the reason behind Russia moving part of its fleet to the Sea of Azov.
