'He is happy': £6m Celtic player does not want to leave Parkhead this summer - journalist

The future of Cameron Carter-Vickers at Celtic has been talked about most recently after reports suggested that Premier League clubs were looking at the US defender.

HITC claimed that newly promoted Ipswich Town along with West Ham and Fulham are all keen on the Celtic defender after having another successful season in Paradise.

To be honest, it’s hardly surprising considering Carter-Vickers is not only shining domestically but also in the Champions League with the Hoops.

But as reports suggest that interest in the American international is high, journalist Larry Henry Jr has provided an update on what he knows about the Celtic hero.

Cameron Cater-Vickers ‘happy’ at Celtic as Besiktas enter the fray

This updatewon’t be a surprise to the Celtic fans as Carter-Vickers has always looked at home in Paradise since joining on loan in 2021.

And as speculation ramps up, Henry Jr posted this on social media channel X:

And to reinforce his point about the Celtic defender’s immediate future, the journalist continued, “Again, not saying Carter-Vickers is considering a move from Celtic.

“Just reporting on the interest from Besiktas alone. Would take a big move for Celtic to consider letting him walk.”

Never really getting his career off the ground at Spurs, the US defender spent five years on loan at seven different clubs before finding a home in Paradise.

Now with seven domestic honours to his name, Carter-Vickers is a huge fan favourite, especially after helping Celtic seal a world-record eighth domestic treble in Ange Postecoglou’s final season at the club.

With Champions League group-stage football guaranteed next season, Carter-Vickers has a lot to look forward to with the Scottish champions and after signing a new deal last summer, it would take a massive offer for Celtic to even consider letting one of their prized assets leave this summer.
