£20m Arsenal star already spotted back at London Colney ahead of potential summer exit

A £20m-rated Arsenal star has already been spotted back training at London Colney amid reports that a summer exit is on the cards.

The Gunners are set to see a number of high-profile players leave the club in the coming weeks, with Emile Smith Rowe rumoured to be a top transfer target for London rivals Fulham, having hardly played this season for Arsenal.

With Jakub Kiwior also linked with a surprise move away from Arsenal, this summer is teeing up to be one that is full of surprises as Mikel Arteta plans to overhaul his squad in order to bridge the gap between the Gunners and Manchester City.

Reiss Nelson at Arsenal training amid £20m exit links

Reiss Nelson took to his official Instagram stories to share that the 24-year-old winger was already back at London Colney in training, with the forward rumoured with a move away from Arsenal this summer.

Valued at £20m, Nelson saw his game time limited this season as the Hale End academy graduate played just over 700 minutes in all competitions, with the forward scoring just one goal and bagging two assists.

Having signed a new deal last summer, the decision to keep Nelson on is proving to be a weird one for Arsenal given how few minutes the attacker actually spent playing this season, a problem also encountered with Eddie Nketiah, Fabio Vieira and Smith Rowe.

Indeed, it’s clear that Nelson needs a move of sorts this summer, and the forward returning to Arsenal training early could be a big sign that the winger is ready to prepare himself physically for a potential transfer.

Any top team would be happy to have Nelson in their ranks

Nelson might not have played as much as he should have this season, yet there’s no denying that the forward’s mentality is as good as it comes in the Premier League.

Arsenal fans adore the 24-year-old for good reason, with Nelson central to the Gunners’ rise under Arteta and providing arguably one of the greatest moments the Emirates Stadium has ever experienced.

And this summer, any top team would be happy to have a player like Nelson in their ranks, with the 24-year-old an exceptional professional and a talent who has a lot to offer despite limitations this season.
