Many Chelsea fans are saying the same thing after Armando Broja is dropped by Albania at Euro 2024

Chelsea’s Armando Broja was unfortunately dropped by Albania on Wednesday afternoon for their second match of Euro 2024.

Blues striker Armando Broja, 22, is currently away with his country for this summer’s Euros tournament.

The young forward started and led the line for Albania during their 2-1 defeat to Italy last week in the opening group stage fixture.

Gianluca Di Marzio claimed that AC Milan scouts watched Broja’s international performance at the major tournament against Italy as they weigh him up as a summer target.

Surprisingly, the Chelsea youngster was dropped from the XI today for the clash against Croatia.

In fact, Broja was an unused substitute during the thrilling 2-2 draw between Albania and Croatia.

Chelsea fans react to Armando Broja axe

A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media are all saying that Broja’s valuation is going to be negatively impacted by his latest snub.

When it looked like the perfect opportunity to introduce the fast attacker to a stretched match, Albania manager Sylvinho still refused to substitute him onto the pitch.

One fan wrote: “Broja dropped and Albania score. Yeah we might be cooked, his value is on the floor.”

Another said: “Broja’s value must be dropping at about £5m per week at the moment.”

One supporter posted: “No appearance today, not even from the bench for 5 mins. That injury ruined him.”

Another claimed: “Can’t even get on the pitch for Albania as their “best striker” when they need a goal. It’s not looking good.”

One fan said: “Broja has 4 goals in the past 2 years and we’re trying to sell him for £30m lol.”

What will happen with the striker?

We hope Broja earns himself a move this summer to join a club where he’ll play regular first-team football. It’s not ideal that he’s already lost his starting position in the Albania team, though.

Journalist Ben Jacobs reported via X last month that Broja is expected to leave Chelsea this summer. He’s attracting interest from clubs such as Monaco, AC Milan, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Crystal Palace and Everton.
