Copa América 2024 is underway – here’s how to catch the quarter-finals

While the UK has been gripped by Euro 2024 fever, across the world there’s another huge tournament taking place.

Copa América is the tournament for national teams across the Americas. Like the World Cup, it’s held every four years. This year the USA is the host, with games taking place in Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, New Jersey, California, Arizona, Nevada, Missouri, Kansas and Florida.

Fresh off winning their global title two years ago, Argentina are the hot favourites – with superstar Lionel Messi looking to add to his goal tally.

When is Copa América 2024?

Copa América kicked off on Thursday 20 June 2024 with the opening ceremony. The final match is scheduled for 15 July 2024, with the last two teams to be determined across the next few weeks.

What games are in the Copa América quarter-finals?

Eight teams are through to the quarter-finals. Here’s what games are taking place in this stage of the tournament and what time kick-off is in the US and UK:

Thursday 4 July

Friday 5 July

Venezuela vs Canada – KO 9pm EDT/6pm PDT/2am BST (next day)

Saturday 6 July

How to watch Copa América in the UK

If you’re in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, the best way to watch the tournament is by signing up for a Premier Sports subscription.

Premier Sports is a paid-for channel you can add to your Sky and Virgin Media package. It costs £9.99 per month on Sky for four channels and £12.99 per month on Virgin for the same bundle.

It’s also available as a standalone subscription, but only costs £9.99 per month if you sign up for 12 months – more flexible options rack up the cost. Now, you can even get it via Amazon Prime Video but it’s the most expensive option at £14.99pm.

How to watch Copa América in the US

In America, the rights to the Copa América football tournament fall to Fox. Games will be split across Fox, FS1 and FS2.
