'Top' butler lists ‘essentials’ he takes with him on every job including 'invaluable' item

If you thought that butlers were a thing of the past then you would be incredibly wrong as one has just revealed the “essential” products he takes on every job.

Unless you’re ridiculously rich or attended a private school, your familiarity with butlers is probably limited to what is portrayed in TV and film. Thankfully, people on TikTok are constantly sharing details about their unique careers, like the recent former CIA agent who taught her followers how to consume news.

The butler shared his essential items with his followers

TikTok’s Dan (@dan_the_butler) has been working as a professional butler for a number of years, providing his services to well-off families across the globe. He often recalls notable details for his 152k followers.

Earlier this year, he posted a video that gained over 700k likes and hundreds of adoring comments. In the clip, Dan discussed his butler essentials and why they are so important for his job.

“Spend a minute with me as I pack my butler bags for an upcoming job,” he said. “Hello I’m Dan, and I work for my clients at their homes around the world.”

Dan started by showing off his elaborate water bottle collection, though we noticed he is yet to fill his cupboard with the highly sought-after Stanley Cup. While you might ask why he would need numerous bottles, Dan said he usually works in areas where the tap water is undrinkable due to bats.

Next up was his bar equipment for cocktails, which included various mixers, shakers, stirrers, measuring cups, and fruit peelers. Of course, he had numerous repeat products in case of breaks and losses. Also part of his alcohol kit were ball bearings for cleaning and funnels for decanting wine.

Moving on from his expansive cocktail tool collection, Dan said that his stain remover pens were the most “invaluable” item in his case. Following that, he showed off his armbands that kept his cuffs free from strains and spills.

It didn’t stop there

In his next bag was an array of clothing items including a shoe kit, several types of polish, a sewing kit, brushes, and even spare shoelaces.

Continuing, Dan said he is required to carry a first aid kit as the location’s “chief boo boo officer.” As such, he often carries burn sprays, antiseptic wipes, bandages, and “enough paracetamol to open up a pharmacy.”

Added extras included an array of chargers and coffee pods, illustrating just how prepared the average butler has to be.
