'Magical': Gary Lineker blown away by 'incredible' player Liverpool reportedly want to sign at Euro 2024

Gary Lineker has now claimed that a ‘magical’ talent linked with a Liverpool move is now the most improved player at Euro 2024.

Right now it seems as if adding a new centre-back and another winger could be Arne Slot’s priority signings to begin this new era at Anfield.

Virgil van Dijk, who is starring for The Netherlands at Euro 2024 right now, still hasn’t resolved his future with Liverpool, something that can’t be ignored when planning for next season and beyond.

And given that Ibrahima Konate, who has also just lost his starting spot for France, endured a drop in form last season, it could be a vital area to add a new player capable of starting.

Otherwise, Slot may also add a new winger, regardless of Luis Diaz’s future.

Wingers are vital to Slot’s style, who favours direct wide men who are strong in one versus one situations.

And although Germany’s Jamal Musiala doesn’t perfectly suit that brief, it’s more than understandable that Liverpool retain long-term interest.

Liverpool reportedly could move for Musiala this summer, and Gary Lineker has now been waxing lyrical about his talent.

Speaking on ‘The Rest Is Football’ podcast, Lineker was asked who he thought was the most improved player at Euro 2024.

And with little doubt, the pundit mentioned Musiala’s name, which is becoming more and more familiar across Europe.

Lineker simply replied: “Musiala you know. I know we know he’s an incredible talent but boy oh boy he’s sharp. Magical.”

And although it may seem unrealistic for Bayern Munich to ever part with such a talent, German journalist Christian Falk did recently hint at some uncertainty surrounding Musiala’s future.

As stated, Musiala may not be the player who perfectly fits Liverpool’s wishlist this summer, even if he can play out wide, but the German definitely falls into the category of ‘too good not to sign’, were he available.

Of course, Liverpool scouts may also be keeping a close eye on Federico Chiesa’s performances for Italy at Euro 2024.

Liverpool could sign Chiesa for a cut price this summer, a player who could perfectly suit Slot’s style.
