A MAN caught with a knife in public has been sentenced to drug rehabilitation.
Gavin Ives appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 29.
The 47-year-old, of Green Lane, Newbury, admitted possessing a kitchen knife without lawful excuse in public at The Haywards, Thatcham, on Monday, January 8.
He was made subject to a 12-month community order with a drug treatment requirement.
In addition, Mr Ives was ordered to pay £300 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £114.
