Travis Kelce given stern warning from Taylor Swift fans over his 'potty mouth'

Travis and Jason Kelce have divided Taylor Swift fans over foul language on the latest episode of their New Heights podcast.

Sure, you could go about your day without listening to a podcast, but why would you do that? There are so many choices available when it comes to tuning in these days, but the increasing popularity of New Heights is a testament to just how much fun Travis and Jason Kelce are as co-hosts. Both are highly celebrated football stars, but ever since Trav went public with his girlfriend Taylor Swift in September 2023, many more Swifties have been enjoying the podcast too—not without some constructive notes, mind.

Taylor Swift fans jump to condemn ‘profanity’ on New Heights

The latest episode of New Heights uploaded on Wednesday, June 19th 2024, saw the brothers discuss everything from Father’s Day to dog racing, all with some curse words sprinkled into the mix.

“Watch the potty mouths!” one of Taylor’s vigilant fans warned Trav. “Swifties watching.” And indeed, they are.

“Great show guys,” another wrote in the live chat before issuing a warning. “With millions of kids watching you both and being their hero… I would suggest watching the potty mouth. You guys are better than profanity-laden words.”

One joked that “the swear jar needs to be upgraded to a barrel,” but this isn’t the first time people have jumped into the live chat to criticize the hosts’ swearing.

Trav has earned a wealth of younger fans since he began dating Taylor, and it’s not hard to imagine some are listening to New Heights in an attempt to hear more about him. All the same, some of Tay’s fans have come to the podcast’s defense.

Other Swifties have defended Travis and Jason Kelce’s language

“I am a swiftie and I cannot understand your comment,” a fan reacted to one of the comments calling out the profanity. “Have you listened to Taylor’s albums lately? They are just talking like they always would when they are with friends.”

You only have to listen to tracks like Down Bad and Florida to know that Taylor herself doesn’t shy away from dropping some F-bombs. Or a lot, actually.

“I’m a 57-year-old swiftie,” one chimed in, adding that the “potty mouth doesn’t bother me.”

Other responses have said that the criticism is “ridiculous” and that “Swifties should not be so sensitive.”

In an episode released in March, Trav admitted he’s “Trying to reel it back on the F-bombs.” Maybe the boys will take a page from Taylor’s book and unveil New Heights (clean version)? Any takers?
