Elite IOL Carius Curne commits to LSU Tigers

LSU OL target Carius Curne

Marion (Ark.) four-star interior offensive lineman Carius Curne has committed to LSU, he announced on Thursday.

The former Arkansas commit chose the Tigers over Missouri and the Razorbacks.

“NFL Development, the resources for player and personal development and the coaches are the biggest reasons I committed to LSU,” Curne told On3.

The 6-foot-4, 320-pounder was in Baton Rouge at the end of March and returned for an official visit earlier this month on June 14. He now joins an elite pledge list for Brian Kelly that ranks No. 2 in the nation, per the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

“I love the history of the program. The more I learned in the recruiting process about each school, the more I knew I wanted to play somewhere with the track record of playing for championships and developing top NFL talent. After visiting every school, I’m confident LSU has the best setup for me to be successful as a student-athlete.”

Curne is excited about the staff he will get to play for in Baton Rouge. He loves Kelly’s standard for the program and his drive for excellence. The new commit relates to his future position coach too.

“I feel like coach Brad Davis and I are similar,” Curne said. “He understands what makes me go and he’s been genuine from the start. Coach Davis never sugarcoats anything and he emphasizes how hard it will be to accomplish my goals.”

LSU is getting a great player in Curne

Curne is the No. 84 overall prospect and No. 5 IOL in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the top-ranked player in Arkansas.

On3 ranks Curne much higher than other recruiting services. He checks in at No. 25 overall and is the No. 1 IOL in the cycle, according to the updated 2025 On300.

On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power writes this of Curne as a prospect:

Carius Curne shows eye-popping movement skills as a two-way player at Marion (Ark.) High. The 6-foot-4, 320-pounder moves like a much smaller player. Curne’s game film is outstanding on both sides of the ball. He’s an effortless mover at the second level and is a violent, physical presence on contact.”
