Russians attempt to advance near Kalynivka and Chasiv Yar - Ukraine's General Staff

As of 1 p.m., 64 combat engagements took place on the frontline since the beginning of the day on June 21. Russia is active in the Kramatorsk sector, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Currently, the total number of Russian attacks on the combat line has reached 64. Russia continues to be most active in the Pokrovsk sector," the General Staff writes.

Sectors

In the Kharkiv sector, Russians struck Lyptsi, Zelene, and Neskuchne with guided aerial bombs.

The total number of Russian attacks in the Kupiansk sector increased to eight. 2 firefights continue in the vicinity of Synkivka.

In the Lyman sector, fighting continues in the vicinity of Serebryanske forestry and Nevske.

In the Siversk sector, fighting continues in the area of Verkhniokamianske. This is the 8th Russian attempt to attack the sector.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russia is active in the vicinity of Kalynivka and Chasiv Yar. Russians have already tried to advance eight times. Three combat engagements are currently ongoing.

The Pokrovsk sector has the highest number of attacks. Fighting is currently ongoing in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Novoaleksandrovka, Sokol, and Novopokrovsk. The total number of combat engagements increased to 25.

Russia is not conducting active assault operations in theKurakhove sector. Russianattacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka and Paraskoviivka were repelled.

Situation at front

According to analysts of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the Ukrainian Defense Forces recaptured several positions northeast of Vovchansk and advanced along Soborna Street. Meanwhile, the enemy is advancing to the Siverskyi Donets-Donbas canal in the central part of Kalynivka.
