"AAP should learn to respect Court's decision": BJP's Manoj Tiwari on Delhi HC staying bail of Arvind Kejriwal

New Delhi [India], June 21 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party MP Manoj Tiwari on Friday said that the Aam Aadmi Party should learn to respect the court's decision after the Delhi High Court stayed the trial court order granting bail of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a money laundering case related to alleged excise policy "scam".

"The fight against corruption will continue. I have full faith in the court and the investigation agencies. AAP should learn to respect the court's decision. Bail is not a relaxation," Tiwari told ANI.

"We believe that the accused will be punished and the innocent will be spared," Tiwari added.

On Delhi Minister Atishi sitting on an indefinite hunger strike over the water crisis, he said, "AAP leader and Delhi Minister Atishi is protesting against the water crisis. It was the duty of the Delhi government to provide water to the people. She is protesting against her own government..."

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has to remain in jail for another few days as The Delhi High Court on Friday stayed the trial court granting bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind in the liquor policy case.

The vacation bench of Justice Sudhir Kumar Jain said that the judgement will be delivered in two to three days.

"Till pronouncement, the operation of the impugned order shall remain stayed," the court said while putting an interim stay on the trial court decision granting bail to Kejriwal.

The HC was hearing the Enforcement Directorate's plea challenging the trial court decision granting bail to Kejriwal. Yesterday evening Rouse Avenue Court granted the bail to Kejriwal. Today morning ED moved the HC seeking a stay on the order. (ANI)
