RNLI lifeboats have been searching all afternoon to see if the kite’s owner may be in difficulty.

But they are yet to find them.

Dover Coastguard is appealing for information to track them down.

Team leader James Crane said: “We are making an urgent appeal to find the owner of the equipment to help us in our search and we would like to hear from anyone who may have information.

“If you recognise the equipment as yours or belonging to anyone you know, please contact us as soon as possible.”
