Newbury to host hustings ahead of July 4 General Election

Plans have been confirmed for a Newbury hustings event ahead of the July 4 General Election.

The political event will give residents the chance to ask parliamentary candidates questions on their party’s policies as well as their takes on local issues.

Thatcham Hustings - Steve Masters (Green Party), Garry Johnson (UKIP) , Liz Bell (Labour) ,Rev David Taylor (chair) , Lee Dillon (Lib Democrats), Laura Farris (Conservative), Earl Jesse (Freedom Alliance) and Doug Terry (Reform UK)

The hustings will take place on Wednesday (June 26) at 7.30pm in St Nicolas Church and all seven candidates are expected to attend.

The event will be chaired by Rev Gary Collins from St John’s Church with more details to be released early next week.

The seven candidates standing in the Newbury constituency are:

Liz Bell, Labour

Lee Dillon, Liberal Democrats

Laura Farris, Conservative

Earl Jesse, Freedom Alliance

Gary Johnson, UK Independence Party

Steve Masters, Green

Douglas Terry, Reform UK
