Report: Man City transfer target has now decided which club he wants to join this summer

Even though two major international tournaments are underway, moves are still being made in the latest summer transfer window.

After winning a fourth Premier League trophy in a row at the end of their previous campaign, Manchester City have been linked with numerous players who could be on the move over the next few weeks.

Now though, a big update has emerged regarding one particular figure the Citizens have reportedly had their eyes on recently.

Michael Olise decides which club he wants to move to

A recent report from The Athletic had this to say on the matter.

It said: “Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise has decided to join Bayern Munich.

“Bayern are now expected to agree a deal with Palace for the 22-year-old France youth international to put an end to speculation over his future this summer.

“The Athletic revealed that the German club had contacted Palace, while Chelsea were given the go-ahead to speak to Olise before deciding the finances involved were beyond reach and chose not to proceed.

“Newcastle United also approached the Selhurst Park club while Manchester United and Manchester City have long retained a strong interest in the player.”

City may have to forget about Olise now

During his time with Palace, the Frenchman, who Don Hutchison said could become a world-beater under Pep Guardiola last month, has appeared in 90 games across all competitions, racking up 16 goals and 25 assists along the way.

Having scored 10 goals and supplied six assists in just 19 Premier League matches last season, it’s no surprise that the 22-year-old has had numerous clubs looking to land a deal for him this summer.

Now that it has been reported that Olise has decided to join Bayern and link up with former City captain Vincent Kompany at the German club, it seems that the Blues may have to move on from potentially signing the Palace star this summer.
