A Florida man, Jean Oliver, 33, faces multiple charges after being caught on camera throwing furniture off a 20th-floor terrace of a Midtown Manhattan high-rise building.

The incident occurred last Friday afternoon, causing alarm and potential danger to pedestrians below as furniture and planks of wood rained from the sky.

The NYPD responded to reports of a man hurling tables, benches, and chairs from the building onto the busy street and sidewalk.

Officers quickly apprehended Oliver of West Park, Florida, who was later charged with burglary, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, and criminal trespassing.

Videos of the incident circulated widely on social media, showing bystanders watching in shock as Oliver tossed the furniture over the edge.

Some people gathered in nearby office buildings to observe the scene from a safer distance.

Oliver's actions not only posed a significant risk to public safety but also caused damage to property. The NYPD is investigating the motive behind this bizarre act.
