'He is a convicted felon': Fox News host loses control after Dem lists Trump's crimes

Fox News/screen grab

Fox News host Shannon Bream cut off Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) after he pointed out that presumptive Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was a convicted felon.

Coons brought up Trump's crimes during a Sunday interview about President Joe Biden's actions on undocumented immigration.

"And I hope folks will pay attention to what the former president has said and done on law enforcement," Coons said. "He called for defunding the FBI. It's the FBI that is enforcing federal laws and is helping make our country safer."

"Shannon, as folks look about who's better positioned to keep us safe going forward, I hope folks won't overlook that former President Trump incited a riot at the Capitol on January 6th where law enforcement officers who protect all of us in the Capitol every day were assaulted."

"OK, that's..." Bream said, attempting to take back control of the interview.

"And he is a convicted felon," Coons continued. "I think that stands in sharp contrast to President Biden's defense of the rule of law and the agenda he's putting forward to strengthen our law enforcement and our border security."

"OK," Bream concluded. "And that is a whole nother show."
