Kentucky Track & Field has quite a few athletes competing in the 2024 Olympic Trials — three of them are moving on after day two. The trials taking place in Eugene, Oregon feature four Wildcats competing in the semifinals or finals for their respective events.

Charity Hufnagel is headed to the finals for the women’s high jump after three flawless jumps. She tied with four other contenders for the first-place slot with a clearance of 6’0″/1.83 meters. She will compete for a spot with Team USA on Monday evening.

Ronnie Baker, a volunteer coach for Kentucky, earned himself an automatic qualification to the semifinals in the 100-meter race. Baker ran a 10.15 and finished 14th pace overall. He will compete tonight at approximately 8:48 P.M. EST for the semifinal round, then again around 10:49 P.M. EST if he pushes through to the finals.

Alexis Holmes (Class of 2022) didn’t earn an automatic qualification for the 400M race during the semifinals, finishing third in her heat, but her time of 50.19 (and new PR) pushed her through to the final round today beginning around 9:58 P.M. EST.

Keaton Daniel, NCAA Outdoor Pole Vault Champion, will compete in the pole vault event for his shot at representing Team USA. The finals will take place tonight around 8:45 P.M. EST.
