2025 four-star offensive lineman Mario Nash joins Mississippi State’s Class of 2025

Last summer Kemper County High School’s Mario Nash was introduced to the recruiting trail and quickly collected several new Power 5 offers. But one of those first offers consistently stayed on his mind and that was Mississippi State.

During his official visit to Mississippi State this weekend, the 2025 offensive lineman and On3 composite four-star prospect committed to Mississippi State and went public with that news on Sunday. Nash is rated as the nation’s No. 23 offensive tackle and the state’s No. 11 prospect by On3 composite rankings.

Even through the coaching changes in Starkville, Nash always kept the Bulldogs among his top favorites. Here recently, Nash continued to add to his long list of impressive offers and that included offers from Alabama, Ohio State and Clemson. Earlier this month Nash also took other official visits to Clemson, LSU and Ole Miss.

One factor behind Sunday’s announcement was Nash’s relationship with State offensive line coach Cody Kennedy, one of the new hires for head coach Jeff Lebby and his staff.

“It’s going pretty good with Mississippi State’s coaches,” the 6-foot-4 and 270-pound Nash remarked earlier. “They are consistent and they talk with me almost every day of the week. I have a good relationship with Coach Kennedy and we are pretty close.”

With Nash’s decision, he becomes the 14th overall commitment for the Bulldogs and the Class of 2025. He is also the second offensive linemen in the class, joining On3 three-star prospect Josiah Clemons of Clinton Christian Academy, who committed to State last weekend.

Stay tuned for more remarks from Nash.
