‘World class’ player’s future to be decided after Euro 2024 with Liverpool keen to sign him

Liverpool manager Arne Slot will be keeping a very close eye on his players currently on international duty.

There is a long list of Reds stars at the likes of Euro 2024 and Copa America, meaning they have yet to link up with their new club boss.

Slot will have plenty to keep him busy for now at Anfield, but the Dutchman will be eager to get to work with his new group as soon as possible.

He did, however, make it a priority to speak to compatriot Virgil van Dijk due to his status as captain of the Merseyside club.

Liverpool target Joshua Kimmich to decide future after Euro 2024

Slot will undoubtedly be occupying himself with potential transfers now that the window is open, with movement set to take place in both directions at Anfield.

According to Sky Sport Germany, one player that is wanted by Liverpool is Bayern Munich and Germany star Joshua Kimmich.

The publication reported that the 29-year-old will, however, only decide on his future once Euro 2024 has finished.

The ‘world-class’ player is currently on international duty with hosts Germany, who are into the knockout stages after topping Group A.

Liverpool must go all-out to sign Joshua Kimmich

Kimmich is contracted with Bayern Munich until next summer, with time running out for the German giants to sell the player for a substantial fee.

This summer is perhaps their best chance to do just that, with the situation undoubtedly favouring his many suitors, one of which is Liverpool.

The Reds would be completely foolish not to be in the race for his signature, with Kimmich certain to shine brightly at Anfield.

He boasts almost 400 Bayern Munich appearances and 88 Germany caps, and has experience in competitions such as the Champions League and World Cup.

Moreover, Kimmich’s versatility would be a huge asset to Slot, with the player able to operate in midfield and at right-back.

The new Reds manager will have to wait until later this summer to try and work out a deal for the German, but he really should be doing all he can to try and convince Kimmich to make a switch to Merseyside.
