Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of June 24

Since the beginning of the day, June 24, 62 combat engagements were registered on the frontline. Most of the fighting took place in the Pokrovsk and Siversk sectors, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"There were 62 combat engagements today. The Russian occupiers carried out 11 air strikes, dropping 19 drones, and fired 579 times at the positions of Ukrainian troops. also used 33 kamikaze drones for attacks," the General Staff writes.

Sectors

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian attempts to attack Vovchansk continue. Since the beginning of the day, two battles have taken place in the area of the city.

In the Kupiansk sector, a battle near Stelmakhivka continues.

In the Lyman sector, fighting continues in the vicinity of Kopanky, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Torske, and the Serebryanske forestry. 6 Russian attacks were repelled, and 2 firefights are ongoing.

There were Russian 17 attacks in the Siversk sector. Russians are trying to push the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the areas of Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamianske, Rozdolivka, and Vyimka. 7 Russian attacks were repelled and fighting is ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russia tried to storm near Ivanivske. 1 firefight near Klishchiyivka continues.

In the Toretsk sector, 2 Russian attacks were repelled in the vicinity of Pivdenne, and one battle is still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russians attacked Ukrainian Defense Forces 18 times, 9 of which were successfully repelled. Fighting continues for Novooleksandrivka, near Yevhenivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Sokil, and Novoselivka Persha.

In the Kurakhove sector, attacks continue in the areas of Karlivka, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka, and Kostiantynivka. 6 Russian attacks were repelled and one battle is ongoing.

In the Shakhtarsk sector, Russia tried to attack in the direction of Urozhaine.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russia failed 3 times in their attempts to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Mala Tokmachka.

Situation at front

According to the analysts of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russia's advance within Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region, is insignificant. In particular, Russians advanced to the northeast of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.
