Report: West Ham can sign forward who's scored 68 Premier League goals for bargain £8.4m fee

Wilfried Zaha is being linked with a bargain move to West Ham United from Galatasaray this summer.

West Ham have been heavily tipped to sign Wilfried Zaha this summer, with recent reports claiming we’re leading the race for his signature.

Hammers boss Julen Lopetegui is desperately searching for a new left winger in the summer transfer window.

The Spaniard is said to be a really big fan of the 31-year-old forward, and recently made an enquiry for him.

Zaha is an elite player who has a proven track record of producing the goods at the very highest level for a sustained period of time.

Signing the former Palace winger comes with a guarantee of 20 goals and assists combined per season I would say.

Those kind of players aren’t usually available for bargain basement fees.

That’s why the Hammers should be all over this deal. And there’s allegedly a very good reason why it could happen.

Wilfried Zaha could be West Ham bound

The former Crystal Palace man’s time in Turkey could be short-lived if the latest report is to be believed.

And West Ham could well be the club to facilitate his return to the Premier League this summer.

According to a report from Turkish publication Sporx, the Hammers are showing the most concrete interest in signing Zaha this summer.

And what’s more, Galatasaray could sell him for just £8.4 million, due to tensions between the winger and club manager Okan Buruk.

I have to say, signing a proven player like Zaha for that kind of fee seems like an absolute no-brainer to me.

As things stand, we haven’t actually got a right-footed left winger, and the 31-year-old would be a brilliant option for us.

Roy Hodgson once described him as ‘unstoppable’ (Evening Standard), and I really feel like he could make a big difference for us.

Zaha bagged 10 goals and five assists for Galatasaray during their league winning campaign last season, and he had a really impressive output during his time in England as well.

The Ivory Coast international racked up 68 Premier League goals throughout the course of his spells with Crystal Palace and Manchester United.

I think that if there’s a genuine chance of bringing Wilfried Zaha back to the Premier League, West Ham shouldn’t hesitate to do so.
