A town centre bank been vandalised for the second time in two weeks.

The windows of Barclays in Chatham High Street have been smashed and spray painted red.

The shattered glass on the pavement could be seen by observers this morning.

Police tape has been put around the building.

The incident follows a similar act of vandalism a fortnight ago which a pro-Palestine group claimed responsibility for.

Red had also been spray painted on the shattered glass

That attack had formed part of a nationwide protest by Palestine Action who targeted up to 20 Barclays buildings.

The reasons behind today’s incident are not yet known.

Kent Police and Barclays have been approached for comment.
