4-star PG Azavier Robinson down to 5 schools

Four-star point guard Azavier Robinson (Jamie Shaw, On3)

Azavier Robinson, a four-star point guard in the 2025 class, tells On3 he’s narrowed his list of schools down to five: Butler, Cincinnati, DePaul, Notre Dame, and Xavier.

The 6-foot-1 rising senior has unofficially visited each of his finalists. He’s also scheduled four official visits:

DePaul: September 6-8
Xavier: September 14-16
Notre Dame: September 20-22
Butler: September 26-28

Robinson also says he is working on scheduling an official visit to Cincinnati.

As a junior at Lawrence North High (IN), Robinson averaged 19.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.3 steals per game.

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Robinson is the No. 94 overall recruit in the 2025 cycle. He’s also the No. 14 point guard prospect. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. On3’s evaluators are higher on him, ranking him 73rd nationally.

What he’s looking for in a school

In a previous interview with On3, Robinson discussed what he’s looking for in a college program.

“The main thing I’ll be looking for in a school is the relationships. I want to feel comfortable around my teammates and my coaches, so that would be the main thing. I’m most comfortable playing in a fast-paced system that picks up full-court on defense.”

Robinson talks programs involved

In a previous interview with On3, Robinson broke down several schools in the race in his recruitment.

BUTLER: “They’ve been really consistent in recruiting me. I’ve got a great relationship with the coaches. I’ve been over there multiple times, for multiple games. I’m familiar with their play style. Coach (Thad) Matta coached other Lawrence North alumni Mike Conley and Greg Oden.”

NOTRE DAME: “Their playstyle stands out to me. I’ve been there a lot of times since my freshman year. They were one of the first high-major programs to start recruiting me, definitely the first in-state. I have a good relationship with Coach (Micah) Shrewsberry, it’s one of the best relationships I have with a coach, I’ve known him for a while. He’s visited me a few times at my school and not to just watch me practice, but to just sit down with me and talk.”

XAVIER: “It means a lot that Coach (Sean) Miller would come to my first live-period game. He has wanted to come to a couple of my high school games, but our schedule and theirs kept getting mixed up. It was good to see him there, watching me play. They get up and down. They pick up on defense and play hard and aggressively. The Big East is guard-dominant, they play a lot like I do.”
