Ohio State transfer pitcher Landon Beidelschies commits to Arkansas

Former Ohio State Buckeyes pitcher Landon Beidelschies has found his new baseball home for the 2025 season. After entering the transfer portal shortly after the conclusion of the Buckeyes 2024 campaign, Beidelschies is out of the Big Ten and heading to the SEC after committing to play for the Arkansas Razorbacks. The left-handed pitcher took to social media to make the announcement with this message attached.

“These past 2 years at Ohio State have truly been the best years of my life, and I am extremely thankful for my time as a Buckeye. With that being said I am transferring to the University of Arkansas! Thank you to everyone who stood by me throughout this process,” Beidelschies said via X.

Beidelschies, who is now a sophomore, played his high school ball in the small town of Canfield, OH, at Canfield High School. During his high school career, his work from the mound had scout salivating. In 2022, Beidelschies finished the year with an ERA of 1.24 to go along with 87 strikeouts and holding opposing batters to just a .107 batting average. He also had three no-hitters and tossed one perfect game.

In his freshman year at Ohio State, the left-handed pitcher appeared in 24 games, earning one start, with an ERA of 4.15 in 30.1 innings of action. Beidelschies Was primarily used out of the bullpen and finished the season with a 0-2 record and was accredited with seven saves. This past season, Beidelschies’s ERA remained at 4.15, and he was still primarily used out of the bullpen. However, he saw a significant increase in opportunities, playing in 84.2 innings over 15 games. Beidelschies Finish last season with a 6-7 record, committed by 91 strikeouts.
