Russia strikes railway in Donetsk region: Consequences revealed

Russia attacked railroad infrastructure in the Donetsk region on Monday, June 24. The strike wounded two railroad workers and damaged infrastructure and rolling stock in Pokrovsk, according to Ukrainian Railways.

The Russian strike injured a driver and a laboratory assistant, they have moderate injuries. They are currently in hospital and stable condition.

Administrative buildings, the contact network, tracks, signaling and communication devices, and a shunting locomotive were also damaged.

At the same time, train traffic continues as scheduled.

Russian troops already attacked the railroad infrastructure in the Donetsk region in April. The shelling killed 3 employees of Ukrzaliznytsia.

In April, Russians also shelled the railway in the Dnipropetrovsk region. 7 railroad workers were injured and 1 was killed.
