Report: £35m Everton target is about to sort out his future after his team exits Euro 2024

Everton have already acted with precision and speed in the transfer market, and yet by all accounts they are far from finished.

Having completed a move for Iliman Ndiaye, and re-signed Jack Harrison on loan from Leeds United, it is so refreshing to see the Toffees smash through their business early in the window.

However, with the June 30th PSR deadline looming, there might be a brief hiatus from activity whilst the club seeks to stabilise and then return to action again.

So, when they do, there is one target that they might now reignite their interest in given that he is free from international duty and ready to force through his move.

The Athletic provides Armando Broja update

If this window has proven anything, it is that the Toffees still boast that charm and allure that makes players want to play for them.

Ndiaye reportedly chose them over other Premier League clubs, meanwhile Yankuba Minteh told Newcastle United that he only wanted Everton before the deal fell through.

Despite some tough recent years, their pulling power remains, and they could use that to good effect to now bring in Armando Broja.

After all, The Athletic are reporting that, following Albania’s exit from the European Championships, the 22-year-old is now ready to confirm his future.

The report reads: Chelsea are aiming to complete 75 per cent of their ins and outs within the next few weeks. Maatsen’s departure to Villa is just the start. Striker Armando Broja is the next situation to keep a close eye on. He has been away at Euro 2024 with Albania but, now that their tournament is over, the striker can sort out his future.

‘Everton and Wolves are among the clubs interested, plus teams abroad playing in the Champions League. Chelsea value the 22-year-old at £35million. It is expected Everton will have to sell Calvert-Lewin (see One to Watch, above) to buy.’

Everton have to deal with Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s future

Given Everton had held talks with Broja, the interest is there for all to see.

However, the issue then becomes the price, especially with PSR remaining a factor.

Naturally, the sale of Dominic Calvert-Lewin would spark a potential switch around, but with the Magpies pulling out there are unlikely to be many suitors who would pay what Sean Dyche will demand.

That being said, the two are similar in styles, with Broja being five years his junior.

So, that malleable youth might make him a fine option to replace the Englishman, should he leave, allowing Dyche to forge his future in his image.

This will all rest on Calvert-Lewin’s contract situation, and should it be resolved soon, for better or for worse, then we will likely have more clarity on their interest in Broja.
