Danielle Merrifield launches new biz

Danielle Merrifield has launched a new luxury candle business called Light of The Eye Candle Co. The candles are currently only shipping out to the USA but promises to involve other countries soon.

She came up with the idea five years ago after a “simple thought from God”. The all-natural candle company was soon born, based on a goal to not use harmful toxins she’d discovered in other candles.

Eco-friendly and uniquely crafted, each candle is made with 100 percent bees wax and pure essential oils. Each candle is also housed in tins as well as glass containers made from 50 percent recycled glass.

Slammed for ‘insanely high’ prices

Danielle has been slammed for charging “insanely high” prices for the candles. From $16 for a metal round 12oz tin candle to $90 for a blue round glass 6oz candle, costs vary depending on quality.

A Reddit thread was created to discuss the new business venture. One fan wrote, “How are buyers “giving back”? If someone where to buy a $90 candle – what percentage of that is giving? To whom? Girl bye.”

Another penned, “Good news- a 4-pack of tealights are FORTY EIGHT DOLLARS. Also- this is the most witchy candle I’ve ever seen for someone who’s directly in touch with God on a regular basis.”

‘It’s not just a smell’ she says

Danielle claims the candles are not based on how they smell alone. They are supposed to make customers experience a certain “feeling” while focusing on the Luke 11:33-36 Bible verses.

She wrote, “Fueled by a deep sense of purpose and a desire to make a positive impact in the world, we made the conscious decision to operate as a for-profit non-profit.”

The TLC star has a “plan to support people in need” with the proceeds, “bringing hope and comfort to those who are struggling”. She has a desire to start a “movement to shine light and love”.
