Report: Barcelona join race to sign 'phenomenal' Man Utd player who can be as good as Jude Bellingham

Manchester United have several expendable pieces this summer and now Barcelona are said to be interested in signing one.

For Manchester United, finances this summer are tight and this means departures are equally as important as arrivals.

Already we’ve seen a huge amount of wages freed up in the exits of Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial which should leave the club fine on the wage front.

But some sales are required in order to boost the relatively small budget this summer. Mason Greenwood seems to be most likely right now.

But now it’s been reported Barcelona are interested in signing one United player, but they’ll only do it on loan.

Barcelona linked with Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho

Interest in Jadon Sancho continues to swirl around Europe, however, as of now it seems there is little chance that he’s going to be sold permanently.

This is due to a lack of interest from clubs willing to pay the £40m that United want in order to let him go.

Now though, according to a report from Sport 45, Barcelona are also unwilling to pay his transfer fee but would be interested in bringing him on loan should that be an option.

The report explains that Sancho has a profile that Hansi Flick really likes and could therefore see United lose him on loan to Barcelona.

A loan seems the best option United can hope for right now and if he performs well in Spain, his transfer value could be even bigger next summer and it could even tempt clubs to pay for him.

How Jadon Sancho did for Borussia Dortmund

Sancho made his name at the Signal Iduna Park and upon returning there in January he began to show his talents once more.

After a couple of disappointing campaigns with United, this is exactly what he needed and has helped him regain some of his standing in football.

Speaking before Sancho featured for Dortmund in the Champions League final against Real Madrid, Joe Cole had heaps of praise for the winger.

“Jadon Sancho is an incredible talent. He is one player I would liked to have coached, to have really talked to him and to have helped him.

“There’s no reason why Jadon Sancho can’t be where Jude is or where Phil Foden is, ability-wise he is phenomenal. I feel like he needs an arm around the shoulder and he gets that at Dortmund, he feels like he’s home.”
