Zara Tindall pictured for the first time since Anne suffered head injuries as she makes hospital visit

Zara Tindall has been pictured for the first time since Princess Anne suffered head injuries, as the 43-year-old made a hospital visit today.

The mother-of-three wore a casual double denim outfit as she arrived at Southmead Hospital to visit her mother, the Princess Royal.

Zara, who is married to rugby legend Mike Tindall, did not speak to anyone as she arrived to visit her mother.

Princess Anne was hospitalised on Sunday evening after suffering a concussion from a blow to the head by a horse.

On Monday, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: "The Princess Royal has sustained minor injuries and concussion following an incident on the Gatcombe Park estate yesterday evening.

"Her Royal Highness remains in Southmead Hospital, Bristol, as a precautionary measure for observation and is expected to make a full and swift recovery.

"The King has been kept closely informed and joins the whole Royal Family in sending his fondest love and well-wishes to The Princess for a speedy recovery."

Earlier today, Princess Anne's husband Timothy Laurence made a visit to Southmead Hospital.

The Vice Admiral said on arrival: “She’s doing fine - slow but sure.”

In a conversation with a well-wisher outside the hospital, Anne's husband added: "She is recovering well, thank you.

"We are both profoundly grateful to the medical team and hospital support staff for their expert care - and to the emergency services who were all so wonderful at the scene.

"We are both deeply touched by all the kind messages we have received from so many people near and far.
