Arsenal fans now want £20m player sold after what just he did at Euro 2024

Arsenal supporters are urging for a £20m player to be sold after what just happened at the 2024 Euros this evening.

France took on Poland with Les Bleus in need of a win to top the group, something Didier Deschmaps’ side managed to pull thanks to Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior, who conceded a penalty in the second-half to give the 2018 FIFA World Cup winners the lead.

Rumoured to be a transfer target for Juventus this summer, it’s been a tournament to forget for Kiwior this summer, with the Arsenal centre-back crashing out of the Euros with Poland before tonight’s game in Dortmund even took place.

And Arsenal fans have shared their opinion on Kiwior’s nightmare performance for Poland against France.

Kiwior slammed by Arsenal fans after final Euro 2024 performance with Poland

With Kiwior getting beaten way too easily by France’s attackers, it’s perhaps no real surprise that the Arsenal defender was the one who conceded the penalty for Poland in the second-half, allowing Kylian Mbappe to score his first Euros goal.

And Arsenal fans were critical of the defender’s overall display against France, with some wanting Kiwior to be sold.

Another Arsenal fan said about Kiwior’s performance: “Yeah – get us a left back please. These megs from Kiwior are long!”

Whilst another supporter posted on the £20m defender: “Kiwior is always getting cooked against wingers.”

Indeed, Kiwior’s performance against France could not have gone any worse had the centre-back tried, with France enjoying way too much freedom against the left-sided defender, who struggled massively in the system.

An Arsenal said about Kiwior’s display: “That was poor from. Kiwior”

Whilst one more posted on Twitter: “We have to move Kiwior on in the summer. Not good enough.”

Kiwior will be disappointed with his performances at the Euros

Considering how impressive Kiwior was for Arsenal this season in patches, the former Spezia defender will be more than disappointed with how he performed at the Euros this summer with Poland.

With the Orly also disappointing at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if the Polish FA undertook an internal review of where everything went wrong, given just much talent there was on show at the Euros.

And for Kiwior, he will return to north London this summer disappointed with how he did out there in Germany, with the Euros a real chance for the defender to prove just how good he is and how much he’s developed at Arsenal.

Arsenal winners and losers at Euro 2024

In this week’s episode, Will Jones and Rahul Lakhani discussed the first few days of the European Championships. With Arsenal players such as Kai Havertz and Kieran Tierney experiencing mixed starts to the tournament, the pair assessed which Gunners were the winners and losers from the group stages so far.

There was some talk about transfers based off the Euros, with Arsenal-linked Amadou Onana’s display for Belgium discussed, whilst Leandro Trossard’s poor performance was analysed, and Bukayo Saka’s sensational England showing lauded.
