It has been claimed that Manchester City have held talks to sign a Spanish international.

Dani Olmo is the man in question, who has a €60 million (£50.6 million) release clause in his contract; making headlines on Monday night for assisting Ferran Torres’ winning goal in Spain’s 1-0 win over Albania.
A report in May revealed that Josko Gvardiol has spoken to his former RB Leipzig teammate about a transfer to the English giants.
Now, a report by The Athletic has stated that Manchester City have held talks to sign Olmo.
However, the discussions were not considered “urgent” — potentially indicating that the club do not view the 26-year-old as a priority signing.

On Thursday, the Spanish international revealed that he is open to the possibility of leaving RB Leipzig this summer if the opportunity arises.

If Manchester City start to deem Olmo as a player they would like to bring in this summer, judging by his admission, a move would be possible.
On Saturday, Olmo did not rule out a return to Barcelona while speaking to Diario Sport.
Considering City being superior to the Catalan side in both a sporting and financial sense at this moment of time, they would have the edge in a quest for his signature if a two-horse race occurred.
