UTSA OF, former Oregon player Mason Lytle enters NCAA Transfer Portal

UTSA outfielder Mason Lytle has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. He started his career at Oregon before becoming the American Athletic Conference Newcomer Position Player of the Year this past season.

Lytle had a huge season in 2024 after transferring to UTSA, finishing with a .348 batting average and 11 home runs. He also totaled 48 RBI and had a .376 on base percentage in his 54 appearances for the Roadrunners.

For his efforts, Lytle was named a first team All-AAC selection and won the conference’s Newcomer Position Player of the Year award. He will have one year of eligibility remaining after taking a redshirt in 2023 due to a season-ending injury.
