Lidl’s Dyson dupe bladeless fan is under £60 – but be quick

If you’re heading to the supermarket, you might want to make a beeline for ‘Lidl in the middle’ because the latest tech offering from the bargain brand is a Dyson dupe fan that’ll help see you through the heatwave.

Priced at £59.99, it’s just a fifth of the cost of the most affordable Dyson model. However, it’s worth noting that Dyson fans also purify your air, which is a huge benefit to people who suffer from allergies or hay fever. You can see all the currently available models on the Dyson website.

Dyson’s fans are covetable, not only for their iconic design but for their quiet power. The bladeless build gives them an uncluttered look and makes them safe for little fingers or pets’ paws.

Lidl’s Silvercrest Bladeless Tower Fan has a very similar design, with a loop-shaped fan on a cylindrical base. Unless many Dyson models, it has no smart features, but it comes with a remote, so you can change the settings without leaving the comfort of your sofa or bed. The Silvercrest comes in black or white, with a remote to match.

We can’t comment on its operating noise level as Lidl doesn’t specify it, but bladeless fans tend to be quieter than their bladed counterparts.

The Silvercrest has a digital display, 20 speed settings and four oscillation settings (30°, 60°, 90° and 120°). It has four operating modes: normal, natural, sleep and power. It also has a shutdown timer which you can set for up to 8 hours.

It’s a 35W appliance, which means that if you run it on full power, it’ll only cost you around a penny an hour to use.

You can see the Silvercrest Bladeless Tower Fan on the Lidl site, but you can only buy it in store.
