Cheerleader returns to top Netflix dance team years after 'foul' social media post

Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, Ava Lahey, is making a comeback to the NFL-focused female sports team on Netflix’s American Cheerleaders series, after she shared a foul social media post.

Rookie candidate Ava was pulled into the director’s office because of a video on her social media profile dancing to songs with “foul language,” as “the gestures in it are questionable for an employer.”

Ava was ‘almost cut’ from cheer team

Ava was very close to being cut from the Dallas Cowboys team back in 2021 after she shared a “foul-mouthed” social media post on TikTok. However, she was only given a warning.

Later though, she was one of the Netflix show’s team members to be cut from the TC. She’s since been training under Dawn Walters at the University of Kentucky for the past few years, and fans miss her.

Although Ava wasn’t featured on season 1 of America’s Sweethearts, viewers are begging for the platform to run a season 2 so they can watch the comeback queen on the big screen.

Netflix fans demand Ava for season 2

Ava, from Jacksonville, making her comeback to Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders team means fans are eager to see a season 2 of America’s Sweethearts. Many are sharing their excitement online.

One fan wrote, “Please have season 2!! That Netflix season is like Making the Team on steroids!! We are addicted!!😍😍,” while another penned, “AVA AND CHARLY YESSSSS COMEBACK QUEENS 🔥🔥🔥.”

DCC followers are overjoyed to have her back. “Hoped she’d come back. She was so powerful and looked like a vet from day one. It was only the social media stuff that stopped her. She’s so got this,” said a fan.

She’s now back at training camp

Ava has revealed she’s now training with the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. She shared the big reveal on her Instagram Story and wrote: “Words cannot describe how incredibly grateful I am.”

Announcing she is now back in the team’s training camp, she added, “My journey isn’t typical, but it is what God had planned for me, and I couldn’t be happier. Let’s have the best summer ever.”
