Taylor Swift warned karma is ‘coming for her’ – ‘Nowhere to go but down’

Taylor Swift knows all about Karma, but one commentator has claimed she may be seeing some return to her – and it’s not good.

Meghan McCain, who is a former co-host from The View, discussion fan speculation the 34-year-old’s ambition to release multiple versions of the same record has blocked other music stars from getting into the charts. In the latest episode of her podcast, Citizen McCain, from Monday, June 24, the celebrity spoke about the phenomenon that has some Charlie XCX listeners upset. Taylor Swift often releases special and limited edition vinyls and albums of her new albums, much like her most recent, with The Tortured Poets Department.

The music star dropped three new variants of her latest record in the UK, which helped her stay at the top spot in the albums chart for a record six weeks in a row.

The new releases, which were for a limited time only, meant Swifties raced to buy up the variants, which some fans say pushed others further down that had new music.

In particular, Charli XCX’s record, Brat, came in at second place when it released on June 14.

There were also talks it affected Billie Eilish too, with her latest drop, Hit Me Hard and Soft.

Billie herself appeared to make a dig at the pop queen when she made a comment at how wasteful it is to release multiple versions of the same record, for monetary purposes. However, she later came out to say she didn’t ‘shade’ Taylor, but the example she gave did point to the Cruel Summer hitmaker.

Now, Meghan McCain has opened up the conversation again when it comes to Taylor Swift and her albums.

She said during her podcast: You are Taylor Swift, you are Elvis-level, one of the greatest of all time.

“There are people coming up who could have their first No. 1 and you have the power to let them have No. 1 or not. … I just don’t know how classy it is.”

She added: “I also think that, karmically, you’re messing with some stuff. I get that The Tortured Poets Department is doing this well … but I do think maybe more focus on music and art instead of, like, checks on a scoreboard.”

Taylor Swift has ‘nowhere to go but down’, as Meghan comments on ‘karma’

“She has, respectfully, nowhere else to go but down at this point,” she added during her podcast.

“She has TIME magazine’s person of the year, this tour’s so big … I do think when she’s done touring, giving us a mild break from being in the news cycle as much as she is, would be helpful for her, and us as commentators.”

Fans are divided, with one pointing to the fact Taylor, like any other big star, will have a team to help her achieve success.

“When I hear criticisms of these mega musicians like Taylor, I always wonder: “Aren’t there a whole team of people that she employs… that want to make sure she’s number one because that’s their job, that’s what they do,” they wrote. “Don’t they also deserve to be able to use their skills to make her number one and show how good they are at their jobs?” I know she is the CEO of her, but it’s about her team, as well.”

And another argued: “No one would be having this conversation if Taylor were a man. No one asks why Tom Brady came out of retirement after winning EVERYTHING. Or why Lebron keeps playing. Why don’t they just “let” others have a chance to win? In what world/industry should be just “let” someone have something?”

While someone else echoed: “Would you ask Tom Brady to hold back, so another team gets a ring? Dumb, sexist, ignorant logic.”

It seems Meghan needs to listen to The Man by Tay-Tay to gain better perspective!
