Celtic stars spotted returning to Lennoxtown as pre-season begins

The long wait for Celtic to return is finally over, as players begin to descend upon Lennoxtown ahead of another exciting campaign.

EURO 2024 and Copa America have both been welcome distractions to see some of the Bhoys in action over the summer; nevertheless, there is nothing like the real things the Bhoys get to work on the training field.

As usual, a busy pre-season schedule awaits for Celtic. Next Friday, Brendan Rodgers’ men travel to Ayr United before heading to Queens Park the following midweek, building up to their three-match tour of the United States where DC United, Manchester City and Chelsea lay in wait.

Now, a few Celtic stars have been spotted filtering back into the building, amplifying excitement for the new season to officially commence.

Celtic stars spotted making their way into Lennoxtown

Per PLZ Soccer’s official X account, a handful of Celtic players have been spotted arriving at Lennoxtown before being put through their paces in pre-season training.

Kyogo Furuhashi, Nicolas Kuhn, Scott Bain and Gustaf Lagerbielke were all captured heading into the base following some time off in the close season, and more will be set to join them over the coming days and weeks.

Some of the Bhoys who were on international duty will be given an extended break, something Luis Palma confirmed he would be subject to while discussing his aims for the 2024/25 campaign last week.

Callum McGregor, James Forrest, Greg Taylor and Anthony Ralston are likely to be granted a grace period due to EURO 2024 involvement with Scotland; meanwhile, Alistair Johnston and Cameron Carter-Vickers are currently both at Copa America, signifying the same will apply to them.

Either way, it is great to see the wheels are in motion for the new campaign. It has been a long summer, but having Celtic back will come as a major boost for everyone.
