Cambridge United will host Sky Bet Championship outfit QPR in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
Gary Monk’s side will welcome Marti Cifuentes’ outfit, who finished 18th in England’s second tier last term, to the Cledara Abbey Stadium on the week commencing 12 August.
All first-round Carabao Cup ties will be broadcast on Sky Sports’ new streaming service – Sky Sports+.
The U’s will look to improve on last season’s first-round exit which saw them bow out at Sutton United on penalties following a 2-2 draw in normal time.
The tie against the Hoops will follow United’s opening game of their Sky Bet League One campaign, which sees them travel to newly-promoted Stockport County on 10 August (5.30pm).
