Newark Business of the Year Skins Sexual Health of Newark hoping to spread message globally

Winning big at the Newark Business Awards was Skins Sexual Health who were named Business of the Year.

The award-winning sexual health and wellness brand was founded in 2006, and is now stocked by retailers and pharmacies worldwide.

The company is continuing to research and develop new and exciting products with the aim of tackling the taboo around sexual pleasure.

Although created with humble beginnings, the brand now employs over 30 people and turns over £2.25m per year.

Committed to high level customer service, Skins pride themselves on human connection, stating that there will always be someone available to speak to.

Their extensive range of products includes condoms, lubricants, supplements, and toys, which can be found in retailers such as Boots, Lovehoney, Ocado, Boohoo, Ann Summers, and Beauty Bay.

In the past 12 months they have been making significant advances in the global sexual wellness market after signing new contracts in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe.

Closer to home they have also been looking to expand their reach with more stockists across the country, have partnered with the NHS, and made donations of condoms and products to students and educational programmes.

Alongside this they are exploring new products and looking at how they can adapt their brand, including offering a more discreet and approachable alternative to traditional sex toys.

At the announcement of their name, staff from the lingerie business based in Sutton-on-Trent, could not hide their excitement and began waving bras around in the air in celebration.

They were recognised for their commitment to making high-quality underwear accessible to everyone, regardless of age, gender, or personal circumstances.

The business was founded by Janice Holmes and offers a unique and highly personal one-to-one lingerie fitting service.

This level of customer service has earned the business an excellent reputation in the area, which they have put to good use educating the public about the importance of finding the right underwear for the individual and having it fitted correctly.
